The People Who Make Us Who We Are
Elevated Timberworks + Custom Construction was founded in 2019 by a team of experienced builders who saw an opportunity to approach construction with more intention—blending traditional craftsmanship with modern building science. What began as a small operation rooted in timber framing and custom carpentry has evolved into a full-service design-build firm serving Idaho and Wyoming. Our mission from day one has been to create homes that are not only beautiful, but functional, energy-efficient, and built to last.
With deep ties to the Teton Valley and a passion for mountain living, our team brings a personal, collaborative approach to every project. We work closely with homeowners, architects, and local trades to deliver a streamlined experience from concept to completion. Every home we build reflects the unique vision of our clients and the character of the land it’s built on—crafted with care, guided by integrity, and made to stand the test of time.
Davin holds a Bachelor's Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. While completing his degree, he worked as a Site Engineer for a major construction firm, contributing to several university projects and gaining hands-on experience in project execution and coordination.
After graduation, Davin joined a leading precast concrete manufacturer as a Structural Engineer, where he provided technical design on more than 440 projects—including residential buildings, mixed-use developments, educational facilities, industrial structures, parking decks, and AASHTO-standard bridges. He has also passed the advanced examination requirements set by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES), meeting the qualifications necessary for Professional Structural Engineer (SE) licensure.
Pursuing broader responsibilities, Davin transitioned into a Project Manager role, overseeing the construction of more than 40 structures with a combined annual value exceeding $10 million. In this role, he managed projects from early design through final occupancy, coordinating internal crews and specialty subcontractors to ensure each build was delivered on time, on budget, and to spec.
In addition to his structural expertise, Davin is a Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC®), bringing advanced knowledge of high-performance, energy-efficient building design to his work. Driven by this passion, he founded Elevated Custom Construction with the goal of pushing the limits of quality while keeping projects financially viable.
Over the past nine years, he has refined a set of construction standards tailored to the unique needs of the greater Teton Region—creating durable, comfortable, and resource-conscious homes in one of the West’s most demanding environments.
Davin continues to bring this depth of experience and passion to every project—whether in the field or behind the desk—ensuring each client’s vision is realized with precision, care, and lasting value.
Jake Amadon co-founded Elevated Timberworks + Custom Construction in 2018, bringing decades of experience in heavy timber construction, project management, and custom home design to the Teton Valley. Wearing many hats—Project Manager, Heavy Timber Project Manager, Designer, and Timber Framer—he leads projects from concept to completion with a focus on craftsmanship, precision, and client collaboration.
His journey in construction began in college, working as a carpenter to help pay his way through school. By the early 2000s, he was immersed in heavy timber work and soon began designing timber frame structures using 3D AutoCAD. Over the years, he’s designed and managed projects across the Rocky Mountain West, the East Coast, and British Columbia, and holds a Journeyman Timber Framer certification from the Timber Framers Guild. With more than 15 years of project management experience, Jake thrives on problem-solving and attention to detail—especially in custom timber assemblies that require scribing and hand-hewn joinery.
Originally from Vermont, Jake moved west in the mid-90s chasing snow and the mountain-town lifestyle. Teton Valley offered the perfect blend of outdoor access and a slower pace of life, making it the ideal place to plant roots and grow a business.
What he enjoys most is working closely with clients to bring their visions to life, collaborating with talented craftspeople, and engaging in the hands-on artistry of timber framing. Outside of work, Jake and his family take full advantage of the valley’s recreational opportunities—skiing, biking, hiking, rafting, and exploring everything the mountains have to offer.
Kyndell joined Elevated Timberworks + Custom Construction in March 2025 as our Office Administrator, bringing with her over 13 years of experience in business operations and customer service. With a background rooted in family-owned businesses, she brings both professionalism and a personal touch to every interaction.
Originally from Northern California, Kyndell has lived in a variety of places across the West. She and her husband relocated to Teton Valley for work—but quickly fell in love with the lifestyle, natural beauty, and endless outdoor opportunities the region offers.
Kyndell studied Business Management at Ensign College in Salt Lake City and continued coursework at the University of Idaho. Her passion for organization, communication, and supporting team success is a key part of keeping Elevated’s projects running smoothly.
She loves being part of a tight-knit team and takes pride in watching clients’ dream homes and timber projects come to life. Outside the office, Kyndell enjoys spending time with her family and embracing the outdoor lifestyle that drew her to the valley.
Tim has been with Elevated Timberworks + Custom Construction for four years, where he plays a key role in leading the crew, keeping morale high, and ensuring projects move efficiently. He’s also passionate about teaching, sharing his skills with others, and maintaining the strong craftsmanship standards that set Elevated apart.
Originally from Goodhue, Minnesota, Tim grew up working in his family’s construction business, building agricultural structures. After moving to Teton Valley, he gained experience in commercial construction before finding his way back to the craft of timber framing. For Tim, construction has always been a “school of hard knocks” — a field where there’s always something new to learn and master.
He especially enjoys traditional joinery and working with reclaimed wood, appreciating both the artistry and the history behind each piece. The reward comes in seeing the finished product: beautiful, handcrafted timber frames that stand apart from the ordinary.
Outside of work, Tim makes the most of mountain life.
He spends his free time hunting, fishing, riding dirt bikes, and snowmobiling. His dog, Yuma, is a big part of his life, often joining him on outdoor adventures in the Tetons.
Hayden joined Elevated Timberworks + Custom Construction in November 2023 and quickly became an integral part of our timber framing team. Most days you’ll find him in our timber shop, carefully shaping and assembling beams, or out on-site installing the finished product.
Originally from Seattle, Hayden moved to Teton Valley drawn by the powder, the peaceful pace of life, and the simplicity the area offers. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from Bates College, but it was a longtime interest in carpentry—and a friend’s introduction to timber framing—that eventually led him to the craft.
What Hayden enjoys most is the full-circle satisfaction of working with raw timbers and transforming them into key pieces of someone’s dream home. He especially appreciates traditional mortise and tenon joinery, building durable structures with no nails or screws—just time-honored techniques and precision craftsmanship.
Outside of the shop, Hayden makes the most of every season in the Tetons. He’s an avid rock climber, skier, and mountain biker, often chasing adventure from Lander to Grand Teton National Park and the trails of Teton Pass.
Nathan joined Elevated Timberworks + Custom Construction in May 2025 as an apprentice, eager to learn hands-on skills in timber framing and custom homebuilding. Whether working in the shop, helping in the office, or supporting job sites, he brings enthusiasm and a willingness to dive into every part of the process.
Born and raised in Teton Valley, Nathan is deeply rooted in the community and the mountain lifestyle. Inspired by his father’s work in timber framing and a personal desire to work with his hands, he stepped into construction right after graduating high school.
Though new to the trade, Nathan has quickly found his footing at Elevated. He especially enjoys working on large timber beams in the shop and learning to build trusses and decks using traditional joinery. He’s appreciated the chance to learn from experienced mentors in a team-oriented, supportive environment.
When he's not in the shop, Nathan is likely deep in the mountains. He spends as much time as possible skiing, mountain biking, hiking, climbing, and backpacking—and is always up for his next outdoor adventure.
